ELDOR Elektronik leads the industry with the ignition coils it produces for the automotive industry. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank examined the world's largest ignition coil factory. Stating that 100 percent of the production in the factory in Izmir is exported, Minister Varank said, “They hold 26 percent of the world market. Last year, they exported 200 million euros.” said.

75 PERCENT OF EMPLOYEES ARE FEMALE

ELDOR started its operations in Italy in 1972 and in Turkey in 1998. ELDOR Elektronik, which has 5 factories in Turkey, has established the world's largest ignition coil systems factory in the automotive industry in Izmir. 100 percent of the factory workers, who export 75 percent of their products, are women. ELDOR Electronics employs approximately 800 people. ELDOR also has factories in the USA, Brazil, China and Italy.

ELDOR VISIT

Minister Varank visited ELDOR Elektronik during his Izmir contacts. Minister Varank, who made inspections at the factory, said that Turkey is a country with high capabilities in the automotive industry.

FROM STRONG COMPANIES

Stating that these capabilities are realized by both domestic and foreign investors, Minister Varank said, “ELDOR company is one of the strongest companies in the world in the automotive industry. ELDOR has 5 factories in Turkey. We are in one of them. This is a factory that produces ignition coils, and 100 percent of the production here is now exported.” said.

INVESTMENT IN ELECTRIC VEHICLES

Stating that ELDOR exported 200 million Euros from Turkey last year, Varank said, “We have prepared an incentive certificate to support an investment in electric cars that ELDOR will make in the near future. Our friends are currently implementing that investment.” he said.

TURKISH CITIZENS HAVE SIGNATURE

Explaining that as the automotive industry transforms, the supplier companies also develop and update themselves, Varank said, “ELDOR company also becomes a company that makes very serious R&D activities, investments and production with the emergence of electric motors for electrification. What is pleasing here is that we host a company with such capabilities in the automotive industry in Turkey, but more importantly, Turkish citizens have signed a significant part of this company's capabilities and technologies.” said.

MANY CUSTOMERS FROM PORSCHE AND BMW

Emphasizing that most of the products produced in the factory were developed and designed by Turkish engineers, Varank said, “The products that come out of here are used in all kinds of cars, from Porsches to BMWs that you can think of in Europe, in the biggest brands of the world. This is an ignition coil factory. They showed us their products about electric motors and chargers, especially for hybrid vehicles. With the support of ELDOR, Turkey will become one of the leading countries in electrification and besides the products we sell to the world from here, Turkish manufacturers will start to supply their products from here.” he said.

INVESTMENTS IN TURKEY

Underlining that ELDOR holds 26 percent of the world market, Varank said, “This is a very serious capability. The owner of the company is an Italian, but it has been in our country for 30 years. His wife is Turkish, so he is a Turkish-friendly Italian, but he is an Italian who makes the biggest investments in Turkey. As I said before, it doesn't matter if the owner of the company is Italian. Because the know-how developed here and the technology developed here have the signature of Turkish citizens.” said.

WE ARE THE BIGGEST IN THE WORLD

Eldor Turkey General Manager Hayrettin Celikhisar stated that they promised an investment of 800 million liras to Turkey and said, “The factory we are in is the largest ignition coil factory in the world, we have a market share of 26 percent in the world and 62 percent in Europe. we spent. We are still working on the rest. We will do our best to make Turkey one of the important centers in electrification.” made its assessment.
