Under the leadership of the Presidency's Digital Transformation Office, the Digital Innovation Cooperation Platform protocol, which will strengthen cooperation between academia, public and industry in the field of digital technologies, was signed today with Turkey's leading universities. Protocol; With the support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, which are among the stakeholder institutions, 8 companies are Ege University, Erciyes University, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Istanbul Technical University, İzmir Katip Çelebi University, Koç University, Middle East Technical University and Sabancı University. signed with the university. Speaking at the signing ceremony, President of the Presidency Digital Transformation Office Dr. Underlining that the platform is a first in our country, Ali Taha Koç said that it will strengthen cooperation between the public, academia and private sector in innovative technologies.

Stating that the Digital Innovation Collaboration Platform has laid the foundations to accelerate and support the digitalization efforts carried out in both the public and private sectors, President Koç said; He stated that with this platform to be implemented, it is aimed to strengthen cooperation between the public, academia and private sector in the fields of artificial intelligence, data science, cyber security, robotics and related technologies.

Stating that participants from the private sector as well as other universities will be included in the Digital Innovation and Collaboration Platform over time, Chairman Koç summarized the benefits of the program as follows: “The program; Developing domestic technological solutions for the needs of the public and private sectors, implementing short / long-term training programs in order to develop advanced digital skills of human resources in the public and private sector, supporting strategy and policy studies in order to benefit from the opportunities that the digital economy will create in the future with the highest efficiency, It will provide many benefits such as expanding and diversifying the scope of service through cooperation.”

Chairman Koç stated that the Digital Europe Program, which will be signed and participated in the near future, will also contribute to the development of qualified human resources in our country in the field of digital technologies: “Digital Europe Program (DAP); It will support the local ecosystem in our country, especially in terms of establishing critical digital infrastructures in the fields of artificial intelligence, high performance computing and data analytics. The projects that stakeholders from our country will participate in will also contribute significantly to the development of qualified human resources in the field of digital technologies.”

Stating that European Digital Innovation Centers (ADİM) will also be established within the scope of the Digital Europe Program, President Koç drew attention to the economic development that the centers will create with the following words: We expect it to be an accelerating factor in transforming it into value and developing qualified human resources in this field.”

At the end of his speech, President Koç stated that he is very happy to sign the Digital Innovation Cooperation Platform protocol, which is a first in Turkey, and stated that the DIİB Platform will play a key role in digital transformation: The Collaboration Platform will play a key role. These efforts will also support and help build our vision of the Century of Turkey, which is the century of digital.”
