Izmir Metropolitan Municipality will organize a symposium with the title of “Izmir's Hundred Years” on December 100-15, within the scope of the activities of the 17th anniversary of the liberation of Izmir.
Celebrating the 100th anniversary of Izmir's liberation with events, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality City Archive, Museums and Libraries Branch Directorate will organize a "Century of Izmir" symposium at Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center. Scientists, writers and artists will talk about 100 years of İzmir, from social structure to sports, from architecture to art at the symposium.

With the symposium, the traces of the change and development of the city will be traced, and the issues will be discussed with their historical contexts and origins. In the symposium program, İzmir's Centennial: History, Culture and Identity, Occupation Liberation and Peace, Economics and Politics, Population and Migrations, Gender Studies, Different Faces of Education, Cultural Heritage, Liberation from Occupation İzmir… Reflections on World Press, City and Architecture, İzmir Topics such as Culture and Art, Architecture and Architects will be on the agenda.
