Organized by Bornova Municipality Film Office (BBFO), the “2. Bornova Short Film Days” begins. Within the scope of the event, which will be held on 16-17-18 December 2022 and which will include film screenings, director interviews, workshops and short film posters, 23 short films from 63 countries will meet with the audience in the International program this year.

Reminding that as Bornova Municipality, they support art at every point, Bornova Mayor Dr. Mustafa İduğ said, “We have been working with this understanding in our Film Office, where we have been providing production support to cinema lovers and training young filmmakers for many years. We will continue the Bornova Short Film Days, the first of which we organized last year, by improving it every year.”

Screenings are free

The “2. “Bornova Short Film Days” will take place this year at the Bornova Municipality Dramalılar Mansion City Archive and Museum and Uğur Mumcu Culture and Art Center. In the event, which is open to all citizens free of charge, short films in the fields of documentary, fiction, animation and special screenings, which were screened at national and international film festivals, will be screened. The opening of the events will be held on Friday, December 16 at 19:00 at the Dramalılar Mansion City Archive and Museum. In addition, the Short Film Posters Exhibition and FUJİFİLM equipment promotion stand, which will be opened within the scope of the event, can be visited at Uğur Mumcu Culture and Art Center throughout the event.

Workshops, talks and seminars

"2. Within the scope of Bornova Short Film Days, a workshop on 'Social Memory and Individual Memory' was held under the direction of Hande Zerkin at the Dramalılar Mansion City Archive and Museum on Saturday, December 17, between 11:00 and 18:00. The "Copyrights Training Seminar", moderated by Academician Sertaç Koyuncu & Producer Diler Ercan, with the guest of SETEM Board of Directors Mehmet Güleryüz, will be held online.

On December 18, Dramalılar Mansion City Archive and Museum will host a workshop with the theme of “New Methods in Documentary Filmmaking” with the participation of Evrim İnci, Mert Hüroğlu and Yasin Erda from the TRT Documentary team. On the other hand, at the Uğur Mumcu Culture and Art Center, on December 17, at 00:18, the "Actoring and Actor's Management in Short Film" interview will be held with the participation of Bornova Municipality theater trainers Murat Niyazi Emre and Jülide Kara. The interview will be moderated by Director Sertaç Koyuncu.

Within the scope of the selections that will take place at Uğur Mumcu Culture and Art Center on December 17th, the first selection will start at 14:00 and will include the films APP, Take It Up, Elif, Everything is on the Way and Aspects. On Sunday, December 18, 3 short films will be screened in 15 selections at the Dramalılar Mansion City Archive and Museum. At 15:00, special screenings of At Last, Larva, Painting By Numbers and Tünel movies will be watched. At :16 there will be movies There are No Ghosts, Jasmine, The Process, Orpheus Love Addiction and The Girl Who Diffuses Water.

In Uğur Mumcu Culture and Art Center, 4 short films in 21 different selections will meet with the audience. At 14:00, Death Roll, Octopus Polvo, The Diary Of Projections, Mother and Toying Box will be watched. At 16:00 there will be films such as Snail, Raticulous, The Fruits Of Forgiveness, Little Actions, High Crimes and No Kind, while at 17:00 there will be Adres, Traffic, Bisotun, Language Of Cosplay. At 18:00, the films The Voice of the Past, 1996, Spectator, No 19, Self Portrait With Marcos Santos and Let's Dance will be watched.
