Peugeot e-208 reaches a range of 2021 kilometers by adding 6,5 percent more (Approximately 22 kilometers) to its range, which was increased by 10,5 percent (+38 kilometers) with the optimization made at the end of 400, with the use of new technologies.

The new Peugeot e-2023, which will hit the roads in 208, is also starting to offer the electric motor of the new Peugeot e-308.

The maximum power of the Peugeot e-208 is increased by 100 percent, from 136 kW/115 HP to 156 kW/15 HP. With improvements in efficiency, the average energy consumption is reduced to just 12 kWh. All these stand out as very important improvements for the enjoyment, budget and daily life of the users.

The Peugeot e-208 is the all-electric version of the 208. The Peugeot 2019, which contains many technological equipment and has been produced in more than 110 units since 208 with its design, offers a fun ride thanks to the PEUGEOT i-cockpit, which also houses the compact steering wheel in its interior. By offering the all-electric Peugeot e-2022 option from the beginning of 208, it has achieved the sales leadership in the electric B segment in Europe and the leader among electric vehicles in all segments in France.

In the sales record, the range is extended to 400 kilometers

The Peugeot e-208 will hit the road in 2023 with the new powertrain systems of the Peugeot e-308. Thus, it will offer a range of up to 38 kilometers and 10,5 percent more, and it is aimed to provide an electric driving range of up to 400 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. The new version of the all-electric Peugeot e-208 will come with:

-New engine that produces 115 kW/156 HP with an additional 15 kW/20 HP and 260 Nm of torque right from the start. Thus, it will offer even more driving possibilities without vibration, noise, gear shifting, odor and CO2 emissions.

-New, more efficient high-voltage battery with a gross capacity of 51 kWh (48,1 kWh ready to use) and powered by 400 volts.

With this new powertrain, the designers aimed for optimum efficiency for the Peugeot e-208. All these developments enable a very low average energy consumption of approximately 100 kWh per 12 km.

Improved the benefits of the first optimization in 2021

The Peugeot e-208 benefited from technological advances aimed at increasing efficiency at the end of 2021. This allowed it to offer up to 362 kilometers of WLTP range. That is 2019 kilometers more range than the first version, which was introduced to the market at the end of 22. Since the first day of launch, the Peugeot e-208 offers 17,65 percent more range and 15 percent less energy consumption thanks to two successive developments. The first phase of optimization implemented a number of additional enhancements to the new e-208:

Combined with a humidity sensor mounted on the windshield, the heat pump maximizes the energy efficiency of heating and air conditioning. The information transmitted by the sensor makes it possible to more accurately control the air circulation in the passenger compartment and conserve the amount of energy contained in the battery while heating and maintaining the temperature inside the vehicle.

- "A+" class tires that reduce friction and minimize energy loss.

-Transmission ratio that increases the range in highway and highway uses.

The effect of this first improvement is particularly evident at low outside temperatures. In addition to the increase in range in the WLTP loop, the improvement also provides significant benefits for customer use. This includes 0 kilometers of range gain in urban traffic at temperatures around 40 degrees Celsius.

Electric car for everyday use

There are two types of integrated chargers in the Peugeot e-208, suitable for all uses and all charging solutions. There is a single-phase 7,4 kW charger as standard and an optional three-phase 11 kW charger. Peugeot e-208 also has fast charging feature. Swimming 100 to 25 percent charging is possible in less than 20 minutes at the 80 kW general charging point.

The driver can select one of three available driving modes (ECO, normal and sport) to increase range or performance via a button in the center console. By activating the “brake” mode with another button on the gear selection panel, the user can increase the deceleration when he takes his foot off the accelerator pedal, increasing the energy recovery.
