Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (ABB) Electricity Gas Bus (EGO) General Directorate prepared 863 buses serving in urban public transportation for winter conditions.
All winter maintenance of the buses, whose tires were changed before the mandatory winter tire application, was also carried out.
With the approach of the winter season, EGO General Directorate has completed its preparations for the citizens of the Capital to travel safely and comfortably in rainy, slippery and snowy road conditions.
The full 1863 EGO bus, which serves in urban public transportation, was made ready for winter conditions.
SUMMER TIRES REPLACED WITH VACUUM WINTER TIRES
Having completed their preparations before the mandatory winter tire application started, the EGO General Directorate teams replaced the summer tires on all their buses with vacuum winter tires.
In the workshops of the Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Department in the regional directorates, all the winter maintenance of the buses were carried out, as well as the tire changing processes. In this context, the antifreeze, air conditioning and heating maintenance of the buses were carried out with great care.
Despite all the preparations made on EGO buses, mobile repair vehicles, tire repair vehicles and rescue vehicles are kept ready for the vehicles that break down as a precaution against adverse weather conditions.
WARNING TO SPECIAL VEHICLE DRIVES
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which takes every precaution to ensure that citizens have a problem-free winter season, warns the capital city drivers to adapt their vehicles to winter conditions and not to use their summer tires, with traffic screens on the boulevards.
