'Green Transformation Seminar in Industry' to be Held Under the Title of 'Century of Sustainability'

The "Green Transformation Seminar in Industry" will be held by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change on December 6-7, 2022 within the scope of the "Century of Sustainability", which is included in the "Century of Turkey" vision announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. In this context, a "Green Transformation Certificate in Industry" will be issued for industrial facilities that carry out their production with the cleanest techniques in terms of environment, energy and resource efficiency, enabling them to benefit from funds in environmental investments and compete on equal terms in exports, while at the same time documenting their environmentalist approach during their activities. it was said.

“At the seminar, the representative of the European Commission will provide information on the revision of the Industrial Emissions Directive in line with the current developments within the scope of the 'Green Deal'. In addition, the contributions of the Directive to the climate neutral target and circular economy, the importance of clean production techniques in the transition to the Border Carbon Regulation Mechanism, and the applications in EU countries will be explained by EU experts. On the other hand, clean production examples in our country will be conveyed by our own industrialists, and industry-oriented incentives and institutional studies will be conveyed by the representatives of the relevant institutions/organizations. In the seminar, the subject of 'promoting clean production technologies' in Turkey's Final Declaration on the Green Development Path announced by our Minister Murat Kurum in February and the 'Century of Sustainability - Green Transformation in Industry Certificate' included in the 'Century of Turkey' vision announced by our President in October. By emphasizing its target, it will be possible to conduct comprehensive consultations with our industry representative industrialists and institutions/organizations that offer incentives in this regard.”
