Mustafa Varank, Minister of Industry and Technology, who examined the hydraulic company, which started the industrial sector with a single lathe and exported 85 percent of its production to more than 30 countries, said, "The success story of this company shows that the Turkish industrialists can achieve if given the opportunity." Minister Varank made inspections at the Kayahan Hydraulic factory in Konya and received information from the company officials.

Explaining that they visited the factories in the provinces they visited and closely evaluated the situation of the industry, Varank said that they were pleased with the momentum Turkey has achieved in recent years, and that the Turkish industry will come to a much better place with the incentives made.

Explaining that the hydraulic company started its business life with a single workbench, Varank said, “Currently, we are a very important company that makes the hydraulic cylinders of the presses, which we can call the hand of the industry. They produce hydraulic cylinders for all major global companies in the world. In addition, they produce new technologies in the field of defense and aerospace. The story of this company is actually the best indicator of what Turkish and Konya industrialists can do. The second generation Sevda Kayahan is the boss, and her team consists entirely of women. The achievements of our company are very valuable in terms of showing the point reached by the Turkish industry”.

EXAMPLE OF VALUE-ADDED PRODUCTION

Reminding that there are companies that manufacture presses in Turkey, Varank said: “It is also important to be a supplier of this. This company does that. We want to work with them in the industrial infrastructure that we will bring to Konya in the coming period. We have investments in Konya with the Ministry of Industry and Technology and TUBITAK. We will work with Kayahan Hydraulic in some of them. I would like to thank Ms. Ms. for bringing the Turkish industry to this point. 'We have full orders,' she says. If Turkey will always develop with value-added production and expand its economy with value-added production, Kayahan Hydraulic is one of the best examples of this. It shows that the Turkish industrialists can achieve as long as they are given the opportunity.”

EXPORT TO GLOBAL BRANDS

Kayahan Hydraulic General Manager Sevda Kayhan Yılmaz also stated that the products produced in the hydraulic factory operating in the heavy industry sector are exported to global brands, and added that cylinders for dam covers, bridge hydraulics, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders and bumpers, shock absorbers, earthquake isolators, suspension for tracked vehicles. , said they produce hybrid cylinders that are used as barrel stabilizers or recoil dampers.

Minister Varank's "What has changed in the last 20 years as an industrialist?" Answering the question, Yılmaz said, “I can clearly say that we, as industrialists, have become more rested. I've never heard my voice this well before. I hated not being able to keep eye level while doing business abroad. Now we can keep eye level. We are getting more attention.” said. Stating that they increased their capacity by 2023 percent only in the first 10 months of 56, Yılmaz said that they have doubled their employment in the last 20 years.

BEFORE 2003, WE HAD ONE FOREIGN CUSTOMER

Noting that the contributions to production in the industry were extremely low before, Yılmaz said, “We were disturbed by the fact that imports came to the fore. The share of the industry in the Gross National Product fell from 25 percent to 16 percent. Imports increased a lot. We wanted production to be at the forefront, not imports. During this period, we explained our problems better and were listened to. That's why we are more successful. We supply cylinders to the leading biggest brands of Germany, Belgium and Italy. I think we can make our voices heard better now. Before 2003, we had only one customer abroad. After that we were more open. We have grown day by day, we have made our name known with the support of the fair. We received brand and employment support. During this period, we benefited from various incentives. We tried to increase employment efficiently.” he said.
