Turkey's Automotive Exports Reached 2,9 Billion Dollars in November

According to the data of Uludag Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB), the automotive industry's exports in November increased by 14 percent to 2 billion 875 million dollars. While the share of the industry, which ranks first in the country's exports, from Turkey's exports was 13,2%, the January-November exports were recorded as 5,6 billion dollars with an increase of 27,8 percent.

OIB Chairman of the Board Baran Çelik: “Despite the fear of slowdown and recession in the global economy, especially in Europe, our biggest market, our automotive exports continue to increase. In November, we reached the highest export figure on a monthly basis this year. Our exports of the supply industry, motor vehicles for transporting goods, tow trucks and bus minibus midibus increased by double digits. Likewise, we recorded double-digit increases in major major markets such as Italy, USA, UK and Russia.”

According to the data of Uludağ Automotive Industry Exporters' Association (OIB), Turkish automotive industry's exports in November increased by 13,7% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 2 billion 875 million dollars. The share of the industry, which ranks first in the country's exports, from Turkey's exports was 13,2%. In the January-November period of the year, automotive industry exports increased by 5,6 percent to 27,8 billion dollars, while the average monthly exports in the said period were recorded as 2,54 billion dollars. In November, we reached the highest export figure of this year. Our exports of the supply industry, motor vehicles for transporting goods, tow trucks and bus minibus midibus increased by double digits. Likewise, we recorded double-digit export growth to Italy, USA, UK, Poland, Belgium, Slovenia and Russia.

12 percent increase in the supply industry

Supply Industry exports, which constitute the largest product group in November, increased by 12% and amounted to 1 billion 154 million USD. Passenger Car exports increased by 2% to 847 million USD, Exports of Motor Vehicles for Transporting Goods increased by 33% to 436 million USD and Bus-Minibus-Midibus exports increased by 33% to 207 million USD.

While an increase of 7,5% was observed in Germany, the country to which the most exports were made in the Supply Industry, 64% to Russia, 14% to Italy and the USA, 24% to France, 42% to Morocco, and Czechia, which is one of the most important markets. There was a 73% increase in exports to the United Kingdom and an 8% decrease in exports to the United Kingdom.

In passenger cars, exports decreased by 7% to France, 21% to Germany, 23% to Spain, 29% to Egypt, 20% to Morocco, 87% to the USA, while exports decreased by 66% to Italy and Poland. Exports increased by 56% to Slovenia, 24% to Belgium, 28% to Belgium and 40% to Portugal.

In Motor Vehicles for Goods Transport, an export increase of 13% to the United Kingdom, 175% to the USA, 114% to Italy, 41% to Belgium, 19% to France, 33% to Slovenia, 81% to Germany, There was a 64% decrease in exports to Denmark and 58% to Morocco.

In the Bus-Minibus-Midibus product group, exports increased by 103% to Italy, one of the main markets, and a very high rate of export to Hungary and the USA, while exports decreased by 19% to Germany and 42% to France. Among the other product groups, the export of Tow Trucks increased by 30% to 191 million USD.

2 percent decrease to Germany, 49 percent increase to Italy

In November, 2 million USD was exported to Germany, the biggest market, with a decrease of 387%. 2 million USD was exported to France, the second largest market, with an increase of 296%. Exports to Italy, the third largest market, increased by 49% to 270 million USD. Again, 10% to the UK, 28% to the USA, 24% to Poland, 29% to Belgium, 32,5% to Slovenia, 39,5% to Russia, 81% to the Czech Republic, Romania either 13% increase in exports, 9% to Morocco and 25% decrease in exports to Egypt.

Exports to EU Countries increased by 11 percent

Exports to the European Union Countries, the largest country group, increased by 11% to 1 billion 813 million, while its share was 63%. Last month, exports to the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Middle East increased by 43%, to Other European Countries by 11% and to the North American Free Trade Zone by 31%.
