The Turkish Tennis League Finals started in Trabzon after the press conference attended by Deputy Mayor of Metropolitan Municipality Atilla Ataman. Indicating that sport is in the genes of the city, Deputy Chairman Ataman said, “We are ready to take on all kinds of responsibilities in the Tennis League Finals, which we are very happy to be held in Trabzon.”
Trabzon hosts the Turkish Tennis League Finals organized by the Turkish Tennis Federation for the development and popularization of tennis in Turkey. Before the final matches to be held between 12-18 December, a press conference was held with the participation of Deputy Mayor of Metropolitan Municipality Atilla Ataman, President of Turkish Tennis Federation Cengiz Durmuş and Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Ozan Çetiner.
DURMUŞ: AN IMPORTANT BEGINNING
Cengiz Durmuş, President of the Turkish Tennis Federation, said, “We will hold the finals of the Turkish tennis union. It means that the athletes from Batman have the chance to play on the same court. In this sense, we have always tended towards the right work. We would like to thank our Metropolitan Municipality and Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. Trabzon is a sports city. It is a very important start for Trabzon to become a tennis city. These supports given to us are a very important support in terms of reaching the most important athlete in the world. We will all live this week together. "I invite everyone to our games," he said.
ÇETİNER: WE ARE COMMITTING THE 25 MILLION TL PROJECT
Provincial Director of Youth and Sports Ozan Çetiner stated that Trabzon is among the 5 cities in Turkey with its tennis complex, and said, “Trabzon, the city of sports, should actually be a city of tennis. We are taking steps in this direction. Very soon, with the instructions of our Minister, we are putting the 25 million lira project into use. We will close 6 more courts and completely overhaul and modernize those facilities. Trabzon will be a city of tennis in a decent way. We will experience a great acceleration of athletes from the constantly open Tennis Academy and the infrastructure to the superstructure. Beşirli is important in this sense. This organization will be a start for Trabzon. Turkish Tennis League is the highest level organization of this country. So we will start this acceleration from here. Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Atilla Ataman stated that they are pleased that Trabzon was chosen for such an important organization and said, “Our Honorable President Murat Zorluoğlu is not with us due to his out-of-town program. First of all, I would like to convey my greetings to all of you, Mr. President. When we came to the municipal administration, we had a claim to 'a city that develops by preserving its colors'. Deputy President Ataman thanked Tennis Federation President Cengiz Durmuş for the fact that Trabzon was chosen for the Tennis League Finals and said, “It is very nice and very true. Good works are being done by our government, through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, through our successful provincial directors. In these difficult geographical conditions, district areas were created all over our city, even to the most remote corners. We are making progress with the work of our Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department in harmony with the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports. We are ready to take on all the responsibilities that fall on us in the Tennis League Finals," he said.

Emphasizing that Trabzonspor's championship celebrations have made a sound in the world, Deputy Chairman Ataman said, “The impact of sports in the last period is not only in sports fields. Trabzonspor's championship celebrations, organized by our Metropolitan Municipality, received more than 1 billion 200 million interactions. One fifth of the world's population watched Trabzonspor's celebrations. This is a great figure and it is very important to see the power of the sport. Last week, we organized an organization that prioritized Trabzon gastronomy with the slogan 'Trabzon from the Sea to the Mountains'. He also received a lot of interaction. The sport of tennis is going well and well in Turkey, but an organization had to be organized in Trabzon for it to increase exponentially. I think Trabzon deserves it too. I wish this organization to be successful. I congratulate the Turkish Tennis Federation, Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports and Metropolitan Municipality Youth and Sports Services Department for your selection. OFFICIAL OPENING
After the press conference, the official opening program held at Beşirli Tennis Courts started. After Trabzon Governor İsmail Ustaoğlu and Deputy Mayor of Metropolitan Municipality Atilla Ataman conveyed their wishes of success to the athletes, the official opening of the Turkish Tennis League Finals was held.
