Afyonkarahisar Mayor Mehmet Zeybek gave information about the latest situation in the cable car project to the castle at the City Council meeting.
President Zeybek said, “Our ropeway construction continues. We had promised to finish in May. The emergence of a residential area on the castle hill made it even more valuable. Hopefully, we will protect them and open them to the use of our people with walking paths, viewing terraces and glass terraces. Delivery in May was a conditional tender. Maybe one month deviation is due to the permit process. But I said that in May the poles should be erected, the ropes should be stretched and the cabins should be hung. The construction site has been established and the work has begun. The starting point there and where there is a football pitch and basketball court, the demolition works on our own land have been completed, and they are pulling out the wreckage right now.” said.
