Sureyya Opera National Composition Competition Awards Found Their Owners

The awards of the Süreyya Opera National Composition Competition 2022 were presented at the ceremony held at Süreyya Opera House.

Kadıköy The award ceremony of the Süreyya Opera National Composition Competition, which was held for the sixth time this year by the Municipality of Süreyya Opera in order to encourage creativity in the field of music and performing arts and to encourage Turkish composers to create new works, was held at Süreyya Opera House.

In the competition organized for the cello and piano duo this year, the works that made it to the finals were performed to the jury by educators and virtuosos Dilbağ Tokay and Emine Serdaroğlu, also known as Cello Piano Duo.

The finalist 4 works performed by Dilbağ Tokay on the cello and Emine Serdaroğlu on the piano were performed under their pseudonyms.

As a result of the evaluation made by the selection committee consisting of Oğuzhan Balcı, Turgay Erdener, Renkm Gökmen, Oğuzhan Kavruk, Özkan Manav, Gülsin Onay and Hasan Uçarsu, the names of the composers were announced by opening their identity envelopes.

In the Süreyya Opera National Composition Competition this year, Yiğit Mert Erkmen won the first prize, İmge Yağmur Tiryaki the second, Baran Doğaç Ünal the third and İrem Başer the honorable mention.

A digital album will be prepared for 15 works in the competition, where 12 TL for the first place, 500 thousand 10 TL for the second and 4 thousand TL for the third place.
