The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that Şanlıurfa Northwest Ring Road and Çevikkuvvet Köprülü Junction will open tomorrow with the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu.
In the written statement made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Şanlıurfa's growing and developing structure; It was noted that it was supported by road investments realized with a multi-sectoral, integrated and sustainable development approach. In this context, it was emphasized that the Şanlıurfa Northwest Ring Road, which regulates the urban and intercity transportation of Şanlıurfa, was built with a length of 9,4 kilometers.
In the statement that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu will attend the ring road opening ceremony to be held tomorrow, the following information was given about the project:
“The 2×2 lane, bituminous hot mix coated divided road will serve the traffic with a 376-meter viaduct in Direkli Valley on the ring road. In addition, within the scope of the project, there are 446 interchanges with a length of 3 meters, an underpass bridge of 50 meters and 1 culverts with a total length of 1380 meters. With the completion of Çevikkuvvet Köprülü Interchange, which was built at the end point of Şanlıurfa Northwest Ring Road; Connections to the Şanlıurfa-Gaziantep State Highway, Şanlıurfa-Diyarbakır State Highway and the Eastern Ring Road have been established.
THE INTERCHANGE HAS 7 BRIDGES
In the statement also mentioned Çevikkuvvet Köprülü Junction, it was stated that the main body of the intersection was built in the standard of 2 thousand 930 meters long divided road, and the junction arms were built in the standard of single road with a length of 4 thousand 240 meters. Pointing out that there are 911 bridges with a total length of 7 meters within the Köprülü junction, it was noted that with the commissioning of the Northwest Ring Road, Şanlıurfa's ring road network with a total length of 32,4 kilometers was completed.
