At the meeting, hosted by the Metropolitan Municipality and attended by all parties, from agriculture to forests, from producers to chestnut candy manufacturers, studies were initiated to create a new road map in chestnut production.

Under the chairmanship of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, Forest Regional Director Esat Şimşek and the officials of the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture, chestnut producers, chestnut sugar manufacturers and Tarım Peyzaj A.Ş. Chestnut production was discussed at the meeting, which was also attended by the managers. At the meeting; All subjects were discussed, from combating diseases and pests such as branch cancer, gall wasp, root rot, which cause the gradual decrease in chestnut production in Bursa, to supporting production.

Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that Bursa has many brand values ​​and that chestnut candy is one of the most important brands of the city. Pointing out that although a lot of chestnuts were produced in Bursa in the past, the number of chestnuts has decreased in recent years, Mayor Aktaş said, “There have been studies on this subject and some progress has been made. We consulted all parties on the issue about what we can do to contribute to the future of the city. We have prepared a new roadmap. After that, Tarım Landscape Inc. We will implement the necessary works to improve the process, and to strengthen the infrastructure, especially at the point of supplying chestnuts from Bursa.
