Chestnut production was discussed at the meeting, which was also attended by the managers. At the meeting; All subjects were discussed, from combating diseases and pests such as branch cancer, gall wasp, root rot, which cause the gradual decrease in chestnut production in Bursa, to supporting production.

Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktaş said that Bursa has many brand values ​​and that chestnut candy is one of the most important brands of the city. Pointing out that although a lot of chestnuts were produced in Bursa in the past, the number of chestnuts has decreased in recent years, Mayor Aktaş said, “There have been studies on this subject and some progress has been made.
