Steel pedestrian overpass was installed by Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality in Körfez Şirinyalı Mahallesi. The steel deck installation, which forms the base part of the pedestrian passage of the overpass, worked at night to prevent vehicle traffic from being disrupted. The assembly work of the deck, which was mounted with the help of a crane, was completed with the work that lasted late at night.
ACCESS TO THE BEACH IS SAFE AND EASY
There is an existing overpass belonging to the Highways on the D-100, and an additional overpass is being built by the Metropolitan Municipality as a continuation of the existing overpass. Thus, citizens who get off at the stop on the D-100 Highway will provide access to the coast with the additional pedestrian overpass built on the railway. The overpass made by the existing Highways did not pass over the railway. With the additional pedestrian overpass constructed as a continuation of the existing overpass, access to the beach will be provided over the train track.
ADDITIONAL EXTENSION ON OLD OVERHEAD
The steel pedestrian overpass with a bridge span of 27,64 meters is built in addition to the existing steel bridge that provides the passage of Highways. The overpass will safely provide the passage of the State Railways and the transition to the coast. Connection will be made with 66 tons of steel fabrication. The new overpass will be constructed using 70 cubic meters of ready-mixed concrete and 9 tons of ribbed steel.
