SKODA's sporty all-electric model Skoda Enyaq Coupe RS iV has become the owner of the prestigious Golden Steering Wheel 2022. Skoda managed to win the Golden Steering Wheel Award for the eighth time. The Golden Wheel was presented to Skoda CEO Klaus Zellmer at the gala in Berlin.
The Enyaq Coupe RS iV, which was selected among the top three by the votes of the readers of the German automotive magazine Auto Bild and the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag, was then extensively tested on the Lausitzring Circuit by a jury of racing drivers, journalists and automotive experts.
In the past 12 months, 47 automotive innovations faced the Golden Steering Wheel in 2022 categories for 11. For the first time this year, no distinction was made between internal combustion engine and electric motor cars. Nine vehicles, six of which are electric, took part in the “midsize SUV” class, which includes Enyaq.
Readers cited the Enyaq Coupe RS iV model among the three favourites, after which a 19-member expert jury placed Skoda's all-electric model in first place.
Enyaq Coupe RS iV with four-wheel drive and two electric motors managed to impress the jury with its high performance, high efficiency, handling, technology and spacious living space. Enyaq Coupe RS iV, which is the most powerful serial production Skoda model with 220 kW system power, also has a large interior volume and a luggage volume of 570 liters. Thanks to its aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of only 0.248, it offers a range of over 500 kilometers per charge.
