Speaking here, Minister Kurum reminded that the National Contribution Statement and the Climate Law, which will come to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), were held at the board meeting held last month. He stated that at the meeting held today, a decision will be made to discuss the final version of the National Declaration of Contribution.

Emphasizing that the issues aimed to be realized by the Ministry before the meeting to be held in Egypt will be clarified with this meeting, Minister Kurum said, "Before the meeting to be held in Egypt, both our fight against climate change and the "Turkey Century Vision" announced by our President will be revealed by all ministries for the next 30 years. We are working to make our country a self-sufficient country in agriculture, energy sector, tourism, environment and urban planning, based on the decisions we will make and take here.” he said.

Stating that Turkey will set an example in the fight against climate change in the new century, the Minister Kurum stated that with the Climate Law to be enacted in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, it will become a model country in the world with the 2053 net zero emission target and green development path. Stating that important steps have been taken as the Ministry for the future of the world, Minister Kurum concluded his words as follows:

“We need to determine the steps to be taken in our ministries in order to achieve the '2053 net zero emissions' target set by our President. Although people change in line with these goals, the steps taken by our Ministries will play a role in the development of our country in a nature-friendly manner. With the inspiration we received in our civilization; We have to protect our historical artifacts and natural beauties. Our ministries presented their work on the Vision of the Century of Turkey. We also work on the issues of environment, urbanism and climate change. While preparing the National Contribution Statement, which focuses on the colors of our country and nature; We have to carry out works with the understanding that no one is left behind, which includes our citizens, industrialists, farmers, all segments of society. We have to meet in common.”
