Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, which has made huge investments in transportation, continues to work on traffic safety. In this context, within the scope of the works carried out throughout the year, 26 new signalized intersections and warning flasher systems were installed in 3 regions. During the year, 7 maintenance and repair interventions were made to the existing signalization systems throughout the city by the teams serving 24 hours a day, 3 days a week.

The Metropolitan Municipality continues its efforts to relieve the urban traffic in Kocaeli with sustainable technological investments. The Metropolitan Municipality, which has implemented many projects on transportation, is establishing new signaling systems within the scope of traffic safety equipment improvement studies.
NEW SYSTEM
New signaling systems are being installed for pedestrian and driver safety within the scope of the works carried out throughout the year by the Department of Transportation Traffic Management Branch Directorate teams. In this context, a total of 12 signaling systems were installed in 72 districts.
