Europe's largest wedding dress and evening wear fair, IF Weddding Fashion İzmir, gave its visitors the long-awaited fair experience after the pandemic. The fair, which impresses with its fashion shows, fashion shows and events, also contributed to the country's economy with its commercial negotiations. While the fair hosted professional visitors from different cities of Turkey and from all over the world, many agreements were signed with the purchasing committees. Participating companies evaluated the fair and the interest of the visitors.
The 16th IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – Wedding Dress, Suit and Evening Dress Fair became the center of fashion and trade on 22-25 November 2022. Organized by İZFAŞ in partnership with the Aegean Clothing Manufacturers Association, hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, 10 participants from Turkey and 222 countries from evening dresses, wedding dresses, suits, accessories and children's clothing product groups took part. The fair hosted thousands of domestic professional visitors as well as nearly 3 foreign visitors from different countries. There was great interest in the fair, where the designs that will shape the 2023 fashion were showcased for the first time with their fashion shows, fashion shows. The representatives of the companies participating in the fair stated that they were satisfied with the interest and evaluated IF Wedding Fashion İzmir.

We have been attending the fair for 5 years. We are a company from Izmir and we are producing mainly for export. Since the first day we joined, I see that the number of visitors and international participation has increased. This year, we are faced with a much more successful graphic in this sense. We had a pleasant fair. At the same time, the high quality of the participating companies and the increase in the number of exhibitors and visitors are proof that we are doing well in the international arena and that we are in a good place in competition with international fairs. I think that the fair has a serious contribution to İzmir and Turkey.

We are attending the fair from Pristina, Kosovo. We were participating as guests before, this year we opened our own stand as an exhibitor. The fair was very successful and exciting for us. We make evening dresses and wedding dresses, we had the chance to reflect our own style here. We had customers from Italy, USA, France, Saudi Arabia, we met new customers and they placed orders. We are very pleased, we would like to participate again next year with a bigger and more beautiful stand.
Tayyar Gunbeyi – Gunbeyi Group
We have been coming to this fair for 11 years. We are very pleased with the interest we have received and the agreements we have made. The fair went very well for us. We also held our fashion shows with our brands at the fair and showcased our designs. There was customer interest mainly in the Middle East and Europe, our sales were also good. We come to the fair every year, and we will continue to be in the coming years.
Turan Aksoy, Yusuf Camöz – Seren Moda
We are attending the fair for the 4th time this year and we receive very positive feedback. This fair has carried us forward in terms of level over the years. As a brand, we think that we added color to the fair with our fashion show. Middle East and Arab countries show interest in our brand and designs, we are a well-known company there. This year the fair went very well, our fashion show was also highly appreciated. We are very pleased to be at the fair and the interest.
Alper Turan – Ballerina
We have been attending for 4 years. We are very pleased to be here, it is a very successful and world-class fair. If you count 5 fairs in this sector in the world today, one of them would be IF Wedding Fashion İzmir. We like it very much, customer quality is also very good. Our sales are also very good and we have received many orders from Europe to America, from the Turkic republics to the Balkans, and made preliminary agreements. We are an industry that operates 70% foreign and 30% domestic market. We have 43 years of experience in the evening dress industry. The fair is going well both for İzmir and for the sector. We think we have been very successful. We can proudly say that our foreign guests liked our collections very much. We are in dialogue with all European countries, they all come and show interest in the fair. This is very nice for İzmir. Europe and the world have accepted this fair and İzmir in this sector. As a brand from Izmir, we are proud of this fair.
Serdar Cakirli – Torres Cerimonia
We have been attending this fair for 14 years. We have been in the industry for nearly 20 years. We have old experience in the fair. We work mostly in Europe. We only produce wedding suits. We are preparing different collections. We bring collections to the fair with great care and attention. This year, we brought a collection of 400 pieces. We launched our 2022-2023 collection at this fair. Compared to last year, our visits and sales are higher. This year has been better than previous years.
Adnan Canpolat – Carmen
This is our 7th participation this year. This year was the best fair in 7 years. Our sales and visitors were high. The interest of our European customers was intense, Italian, Portuguese and German delegations came. The interest of the local participants was also very high. I am much more hopeful for the future, the effect of the pandemic seems to be over, I think the next years will be much more productive.
Akin Gureler – Gurel Bijouterie
I have been participating since 2013. We had a better and more productive fair this year compared to previous years. We have accomplished good works in terms of domestic and foreign market. We are pleased with this year's fair. We plan to participate in the following years as well.
