The Gaziray Project, which will breathe life into Gaziantep traffic and provide suburban service to citizens in the comfort of the metro, has come to an end. The opening of the 25,5 kilometers long Gaziray Project, which will greatly save time, fuel and carbon emissions; It will be held on Saturday, November 5, with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Adil Karaismailoğlu, cabinet members and General Manager of the Republic of Turkey State Railways Hasan Pezük.

Built along the route between 6 organized industrial zones in Gaziantep and the city centre, GAZİRAY will serve with 16 stations starting from Başpınar and continuing to Taşlıca. 25,5 electrified and signaled 2 kilometers of railway lines, including 2 high-speed trains and 4 suburban lines, were built on a 112 kilometer route. On the line, 5,5 cut-and-cover tunnels with a total length of 2 kilometers, 1 bridge, 12 under-overpasses and 26 culverts were built. The electric train sets to be used in GAZİRAY were also made by TÜRASAŞ, the largest representative of the rail systems sector in our country. With the introduction of GAZİRAY, which Gaziantep has been waiting with great pride, citizens will have access to suburban service in the comfort of the subway.

Gaziantep-Nizip Regional Passenger Train Also Starts Expedition

On the other hand, another development that will make the people of Gaziantep happy will be the regional passenger train that will be set up between Gaziantep and Nizip. The regional passenger train will run between Gaziantep and Nizip twice a day.
