Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality continues its lighting works throughout the city without interruption. Working hard to make Kocaeli a shining city, the Metropolitan teams carried out lighting work in the Derince Tunnel in this context.
COMPATIBLE WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS
Within the scope of Derince Tunnel Lighting Work, the teams of the Building Control Department Energy, Lighting and Mechanical Affairs Branch are removing the old, inefficient projectors in the tunnel and replacing them with high-efficiency LED tunnel lighting fixtures. The new lighting design is made in accordance with the CIE 88-2004 standards determined by the international lighting commission so that the drivers can see the tunnel entrance in the best way.
THE BLACK HOLE EFFECT WILL AVOID
With the newly established automation system, the brightness of the entrance of the tunnel will be measured according to the brightness level of the external environment, and the brightness level of the entrance area of the tunnel will be changed and the black hole effect will be eliminated.
ENERGY SAVINGS WILL BE PROVIDED
On the other hand, the new system will also benefit in terms of energy savings. In this context, it is planned to save at least 270 thousand kW of energy annually in the Derince Tunnel.
