The images reflected on the social media in the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Temporary Animal Care and Rehabilitation Center were accepted as a notice and a criminal complaint was immediately filed by our Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry against the persons in the images on 25 November 2022.
The process that we have brought to the judiciary by our Ministry will be followed meticulously.
In addition, the necessary instructions were given during the visit of our Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Vahit Kirişci, to Konya yesterday, and a detailed investigation was initiated by the Ministry's inspection teams in the Nursing Home.
In the preliminary examination of the nursing home, it has been determined that the routine inspections were carried out completely, that there was no adverse effect on the housing conditions of the animals during the inspections carried out on November 2, 2022 and November 15, 2022, and the number of animals in the Nursing Home was within the capacity.
In addition, our veterinarians working in Konya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry will carry out health screenings and necessary examinations in order to determine whether our dear friends have been subjected to ill-treatment in the nursing home.
The public will be informed after the examinations by our veterinarians.
Our Ministry will meticulously continue to inspect the Animal Nursing Homes by using all the powers given by the Law No. 5199 and to do what is necessary regarding the irregularities detected.
