Turkey hosted a total of 2022 million 10 thousand 45 visitors in the first 50 months of 97. In the first 10-month period, Germany was the country with the highest number of visitors, followed by the Russian Federation in the second place and the UK in the third place.
According to the January-October 2022 data of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, 88,14 million 39 thousand 613 foreigners visited Turkey with an increase of 471 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
In October, the number of foreign visitors increased by 38,36 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and reached 4 million 803 thousand 198.
In the list of countries sending the most visitors in the first 10 months of the year, Germany ranked first with 5 million 274 thousand 45 visitors, Russian Federation ranked second with 4 million 632 thousand 712 people, and England ranked third with 3 million 205 thousand 208 people. Britain was followed by Bulgaria and Iran.
In the ranking of the countries that sent the most visitors to Turkey in October 2022, the Russian Federation ranked first with 767 thousand 814 visitors, Germany was the second with 746 thousand 192 people, and England was the third with 388 thousand 17 visitors. And Bulgaria ranked fourth and Iran fifth.
