Travel Card Application for Paid Teachers Was Appreciated

The transportation card application of 100 TL for 30 days, offered by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality to paid teachers outside the central districts, which is an example for Turkey, was appreciated by paid teachers. While teachers thanked Mayor Büyükkılıç for the application that provided great convenience to them, paid teachers in other cities cited the application of the Metropolitan Municipality as an example.

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, which won the appreciation of the citizens with the services it provided to students at the beginning of the 2022-2023 academic year, announced that it had recently launched the travel card application that will facilitate paid teachers.

With the instructions of Mayor Büyükkılıç, the Metropolitan Municipality UKOME Board has recently decided to issue travel cards for paid teachers who are assigned outside the central districts. After the decision, which made the paid teachers happy, the teachers started to use public transportation with their travel card, the fee of which was determined as 30 TL for 140 rides for 100 periods.

While paid teachers welcome the application of the Metropolitan Municipality's special travel card for them, the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Dr. He thanked Memduh Büyükkılıç.

The travel card application of the Metropolitan Municipality, which provides convenience for paid teachers, also aroused repercussions throughout the country. Paid teachers in various cities cited the practice of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality as an example and asked the local governments of the cities they lived in to implement similar practices.

PAID TEACHERS POSTED OUTSIDE OF CENTRAL DISTRICTS BENEFIT

In accordance with the decision of the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality UKOME Board, paid teachers who were assigned by the Kayseri Provincial Directorate of National Education outside the central districts of Kayseri, Melikgazi, Kocasinan, Talas, Hacılar and İncesu within the 2022-2023 Academic Year can benefit from the relevant card type. In order to be able to use the relevant cards, which are valid in the transportation vehicles with the Electronic Fare Collection System, in the district vehicles, there is a requirement to present the 'paid teacher' identity document.
