Lying along the Nanxi River in southern China, Yanjing is known as the narrowest city in the world. The widest point is 5 meters in the city, which is 300 kilometers long, and the narrowest point is 30 meters long. Although its growth has been limited by the region's stunning geography, the city's residents have managed to transform this former freight hub into a metropolis of around 400 people.

This interesting city has recently gone viral on social media. When looking at the city from above, people find it hard to believe that the Yanjin metropolis actually exists. The Nanxi river running through the city and large buildings on either side appear as a flowing sandwich. On both sides of the river, the city is surrounded by a major highway that stretches for miles, but surprisingly, there aren't many bridges in the area. The city has another distinctive feature. The houses, almost all of which are built on the riverbank, are built on slender pillars, such as long legs, to protect them when the water level rises due to the risk of flooding. Residents of the city expect the interest in social media to contribute positively to tourism.
