More 'Vocational Qualification Certificate' will be sought for 16 business lines

The Vocational Qualifications Authority, which is affiliated to the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, has brought a new standard. As of January 1, 2023, 'professional qualification certificate' will be sought for 16 selected business lines.

Fulfilling the task of ensuring the harmony between education and employment, VQA under the Ministry of Labor and Social Security continues to provide standards for professions and certificates for employees in order to create qualified human resources. Having made more than 2006 million 2 thousand employees "professional qualification certificates" since its inception in 350, the Institution continues to impose a document requirement for occupations in the "dangerous" and "very dangerous" groups in terms of occupational accidents.

According to the new decision, a 'vocational authorization certificate' issued by the Vocational Qualifications Authority (MYK) will be sought in 16 professions, including hairdressers, beauticians, wooden furniture and shoe manufacturers, as of January 1, 2023.

The occupational groups to be documented as of January 1, 2023 are as follows:

  1. Hairdresser,
  2. beauty expert,
  3. wooden furniture manufacturer,
  4. furniture upholsterer,
  5. shoe manufacturer,
  6. cutter (shoes),
  7. saddlery manufacturer,
  8. distance,
  9. olive oil production,
  10. painting migration,
  11. chimney oiled duct personnel cleaning,
  12. electrical distribution network tester,
  13. rail system maintenance and repairer,
  14. rail system maintenance vehicles electronics and repairer,
  15. rail system components mechanical maintenance and repairer,
  16. rail systems signaling maintenance and repairer

Those who do not have VQA Vocational Qualification Certificate in these professions will not be able to be employed as of January 1, 2023.

According to the "Vocational Education Law", those who have mastery certificate fields and those who have graduated from vocational and technical education schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, schools and training providing technical education and employed in the departments, fields and branches specified in their diplomas or mastery certificates will not be sought in the document.

Along with these 16 professions, the number of professions in the "dangerous" and "very dangerous" classes, which require professional certification, will have increased to 204.
