The World's Largest Floating Wind Turbine Made in China

The world's largest floating wind turbine of 16 megawatts, developed entirely by China's own means, was pulled off the production line in Fujian province of China today.

The floating wind turbine is expected to produce an average of more than 66 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity each year after it is put into service, and to meet the electricity needs of 36 thousand households for one year.

The floating wind turbine will also save approximately 22 thousand tons of standard coal and reduce 54 thousand tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
