International Photography Contest Reflecting the Turkish World Concluded

Since Bursa is the '2022 Turkish World Cultural Capital', the International Photography Contest, organized by the Metropolitan Municipality, which has carried out different activities worthy of this title, has resulted in a total of 175 thousand TL prize money.

The winners of the International Photography Contest, which is organized to document the common aspects of Turkish culture and arts through photography, to strengthen the unity and brotherhood of the Turkic peoples, to transfer the common culture to future generations and to introduce it to the world, have been determined. 2022 photographers participated with 2022 photographs in the competition, which was held in 257 in Bursa, the Cultural Capital of the Turkish World, throughout 1213 and carries traces of Turkish culture. The works participating in the competition, which is open to all amateur and professional photographers in the world, which consists of two parts: color and black and white photography and drone photography in the digital (digital) category, revealed Turkish culture in all its aspects.

The jury members of the competition are Producer-Screenwriter Birol Güven, Bursa Culture and Tourism Provincial Director Kamil Özer, Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts Photography Department Lecturer Prof.Dr. Oktay Çolak, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Lecturer Merih Akoğul, Uludag University Technical Sciences Vocational School Graphic Design Department Lecturer Dr. Erhan Mutlugün, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Press and Public Relations Department Head Ahmet Bayhan, BUFSAD President Serpil Savaş and Curator Fahrettin Beceren. The jury members determined the winners of the competition as a result of 'meticulous evaluation'. Accordingly, Alaattin Şenol from Sakarya became the winner of the Digital category with his 'Yay' photo. Gürsel Egemen Ergin from Bursa took the second place with his 'O An' photo and Hamdi Şahin from Istanbul came third in the category with his 'Horsemen' photo.

The winner of the Drone category of the competition was İlyas Malcok from Bursa with the photo of 'Final Excitement', while Gülin Yiğiter from Eskişehir came in second with the photo of 'Flag', and İsmail Hakkı Yalçın from Bursa came in third with the photo of 'Uludağ and Turkish Obası'.

Birol Atalay from Kocaeli received the TURKSOY Special Award, while Yurdagül Kaplan from Istanbul won the Cultural Capital Special Award. Kübra Nur Özer Süleyman Çelebi Special Award from Bursa, Salih Kuş Institution Special Award from Bursa, Şevki Karaca from Bursa Azerbaijani Composer Fikret Amirov Special Award, and Ayşe Ayna from Bursa was awarded the Kyrgyzstan Artist Toktobolot Abdumomunov Special Award.

The award ceremony and exhibition of the competition will be held as part of the closing program of the 2022 Turkish World Culture Capital Bursa events.
