An Operation to Root Out Drug Dealers Was Performed in Bursa

In Bursa, 'Operation to Root Out' was carried out under the direction of Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu. In the narcotic operation, which was attended by 700 police and supported by 3 UAVs and 1 helicopter, 70 addresses were raided. Of the 110 previously identified suspects, 95 were taken into custody.

In Bursa, a simultaneous narcotic operation was launched to 110 addresses against 70 previously determined suspects at dawn. 95 of the suspects were taken into custody. The teams of the Provincial Security Directorate Combating Narcotic Crimes, Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM), Public Security, Riot Forces and Special Operations Branch are participating in the operation called 'Drying Roots'.

The operation, in which 700 personnel take part, is provided with air support by 1 helicopter and 3 UAVs. In the operation, 15 narcotic detector dogs are also participating in the searches.

Our Minister, who sent the teams to the operation, Mr. Süleyman Soylu personally followed the operation at the Bursa Police Department City Security Management System (KGYS) Management Center.

Reminding that they carried out the previous eradication operation in Bursa on September 20, Minister Soylu said, “I would like to say this to our esteemed fellow citizens of Bursa and our beloved nation. We're running the biggest drug busts in history. We detain an average of 5 drug dealers per week. Our friends, the Police Department and the Gendarmerie are making great efforts in this regard," he said.

Reminding that over 1900 kilograms of cannabis was seized in Diyarbakır yesterday, our Minister Mr. Süleyman Soylu said, “This struggle continues with determination. We have our determination. We will not tolerate those who want to bring our young people together with this disease. We do what is necessary and we will continue to do so together. Let our nation, Turkish Police, Gendarmerie, security forces, our government and us trust. We have vowed to root out this issue and continue the struggle until this issue is rooted.
