In the “Shoot and Goal: Turkish Football History Exhibition”, which opened its doors at the Presidential Complex, the coded telegrams taken during the football match in Akşehir, where the plans for the Great Offensive were made, drew attention.

In the exhibition opened yesterday with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the first written document about football in the Ottoman archives. The documents of the encrypted telegrams taken in the football match held in Akşehir in 1922 and watched by Mustafa Kemal and the army commanders attract the attention of the visitors.

Photographs and newspaper clippings of President Erdogan when he played football for the IETT Football Team and Erok Spor, as well as the football equipment he used in friendly matches during his time as a politician, are among the exhibits.

The General Harington Cup, which Fenerbahce won by defeating the occupation forces team in the tournament organized on his behalf by the commander of the United Kingdom's occupation forces, General Charles Harington, when he left Istanbul in 1923, is among the interesting parts of the exhibition.

In the exhibition where Galatasaray won the UEFA Cup and Super Cup in 2000 and the trophy won by the National Football Team, which came in 2002rd in the FIFA 3 World Cup, Brazilian legendary football player Pele's after the Fenerbahçe-Santos match played in Istanbul on May 3, 1972. The photograph taken with Fenerbahçe President Faruk Ilgaz, signed by him, and materials belonging to the sports and coaching periods of Mustafa Denizli, Fatih Terim and Şenol Güneş are also presented to the visitors.

One of Beşiktaş's legendary captains, Hakkı Yeten, nicknamed "Baba Hakkı", won the General Directorate of Physical Education National Education Award in 1947 and the Prime Minister's Cup he lifted, 103-1988, when former national football player Rıdvan Dilmen became the champion with Fenerbahçe's historical record of 1989 goals. The shirt he wore during the season, the "European Bronze Shoe" award won by Tanju Çolak in the 1985-1986 season by scoring 33 goals, and the golden shoe of the "France Football" magazine, which he won by scoring 1987 goals in the 1988-39 season are also on display.

Arda Turan, who took part in the match where Barcelona defeated Alaves 5-2004 on 27 May 2017, wore the jersey, shorts and boots of former national goalkeeper Rüştü Reçber, who played in the friendly match of the A National Football Team on June 3, 1. 's jersey, Amputee National Team Coach Osman Çakmak's jersey, boots and crutches are also on display.

The exhibition will be open to visitors until May 3 at the Presidential Complex Exhibition Hall.
