China's Automobile Export Sets Record in October

Data from the China Automobile Manufacturers Association show that the country's automobile exports set a record last October. In the last month, the country exported 46 percent more than the same month of the previous year, and sold 337 thousand motor vehicles. This number also represents an increase of 12,3 percent compared to the previous month, that is, the September records. In October, 279 thousand passenger cars were sold abroad. This corresponds to an increase of 40,7 percent on a yearly basis and 11,6 percent compared to the previous month.

On the other hand, in October, the share of clean energy vehicles in China's automobile exports was striking. As a matter of fact, 109 thousand units of new energy vehicles exported last month represent an increase of 81,2 percent on a yearly basis. In addition, exports of new energy vehicles almost doubled in the first ten months of the year compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 499 thousand units.

China's automobile exports approached 2,46 million units in the January-October period of the year. This number corresponds to an increase of 54,1 percent compared to the previous year, according to official data.
