EGO Celebrates Its 80th Anniversary with Various Events

Celebrating the 80th anniversary of its establishment, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality EGO General Directorate brought together 1 black pine and cedar saplings in the EGO 500st Region Bus Operation Branch Directorate and Repair Maintenance Workshop in the Karaoğlan District of Gölbaşı district.

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality EGO General Directorate started to celebrate its 80th anniversary with various activities. Within the scope of activities; The “1. While creating the "Year Afforestation Area", 80 larch and cedar saplings were planted in the area.

EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş, Deputy General Managers and Heads of Departments attended the sapling planting ceremony, and EGO personnel and their families showed great interest.

Stating that the green areas in the city are one of the most important investments for the management of that city, General Manager Nihat Alkaş said:

“The necessity of green spaces in urban life is an indispensable reality. Green areas offer more comfortable and healthier environmental conditions to people with the contribution and opportunities they provide to the urban ecosystem and daily urban activities. Above all, trees are the most important part of the city's infrastructure for a sustainable urban life. In fact, we contribute to the infrastructure of our city with an afforestation event to commemorate the 80th anniversary. We think that this green area, which will bear the name of our deep-rooted organization, will breathe life into our city, and today we are happy to plant saplings for a green Ankara. We will paint Ankara green in accordance with the management approach of our President, Mr. Mansur Yavaş, by repeating the event we held here today in the following years.”

SEEDS MEET WITH THE SOIL

The saplings provided by the ABB Environmental Protection and Control Department, the Rural Services Department and the ANFA General Directorate are the “1. It was brought together with the soil in the Year Afforestation Area.
