In the AFAD Coordination Center in Ankara, 25 working groups, including the Ministry of Interior and relevant teams, are working within the framework of the Turkey Disaster Response Plan following the earthquake.

Working on a 24-hour basis, the working groups carry out activities to determine and meet the needs in the earthquake area in contact with the personnel in the field.

The officials in the Coordination Center provide guidance according to the needs, and snapshots from the region are transmitted to this center.

After the earthquake that occurred at 04.08 and was felt in the surrounding cities, the citizens of Düzce, who were panicking, took to the streets.

Citizens, who hesitated to stay at their homes due to the aftershocks that occurred from time to time, gathered in the Social Facilities and parks in front of Gölyaka Municipality.

The waiting of the citizens, who went out in panic due to the aftershocks that occurred from time to time, continues.

İbrahim Özer, General Manager of Turkish Red Crescent Disaster Management, said that they offered treats to the citizens waiting on the street due to the cold weather following the earthquake.
