With the New High Speed Train Line between Ankara and Istanbul, it will decrease to 80 minutes

The new high-speed train line between Ankara and Istanbul will start after the election. Tunnels and viaducts will be built. Feasibility studies are underway. The trains, which will reach a speed of 350 km per hour, will bring the two big cities closer, and the distance between the two cities will be reduced to 80 minutes. When the line is completed, it will have a daily capacity of 240 thousand passengers.

The government, which has signed many giant projects from Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge to Istanbul Airport during its 20-year rule, accelerated the preparation process of a new giant project by pressing the button for the high-speed train line, which will reduce the journey between Ankara and Istanbul to 80 minutes in the coming period.

One of the most striking projects among the ongoing projects is the new high-speed train line between Ankara and Istanbul, which President Erdogan has wanted for a long time.

It has been reported that the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has started feasibility studies on the line that will carry Turkey to a different league in transportation. After the works, details such as the route, which method will be made, and when the foundation will be laid will be revealed.

The AK Party, which has signed giant projects especially in the field of transportation and eliminated Turkey's infrastructure problem since coming to power, will have brought a line suitable for the speed of the age to the country.

The High Speed Train (YHT) running between Ankara and Istanbul can reach a maximum speed of 250 kilometers. The speed of the new line will reach 350 kilometers.

Thus, the journey time between the two cities, which is currently about 5 hours, will be reduced to 80 minutes. Taking the high-speed train will be more advantageous for citizens than even plane travel.

It is estimated that around 70 tunnels and 40 viaducts should be built within the scope of the project. When the line is completed, it will reach a passenger carrying capacity of 240 thousand per day and 88 million per year, thus reducing the burden of road transportation.
