In October, the Consumer Price Index increased by 3,54 percent and the Domestic Producer Price Index increased by 7,83 percent on a monthly basis. Annual inflation was recorded as 85,51 percent in consumer prices and 157,69 percent in domestic producer prices.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) figures for October.

Accordingly, the change in CPI was 3,54 percent compared to the previous month in October, 57,80 percent compared to December of the previous year, 85,51 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and 65,26 percent according to the twelve-month averages. .

The main group that showed the least increase compared to the same month of the previous year was communication with 33,48 percent. On the other hand, the main group with the highest increase compared to the same month of the previous year was transportation with 117,15 percent.

In terms of main expenditure groups, the main group that showed the least increase compared to the previous month was education with 0,36 percent. On the other hand, the main group with the highest increase compared to the previous month was clothing and shoes with 8,34 percent.

Domestic Producer Price Index

D-PPI increased by 7,83 percent compared to the previous month, by 96,74 percent compared to December of the previous year, by 157,69 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and by 122,93 percent according to the twelve-month averages.

Manufacturing index, one of the four main sectors of the industry, increased by 122,97 percent annually.

Annual changes in the four sectors of the industry; 162,06 percent increase in mining and quarrying, 122,97 percent in manufacturing, 554,56 percent in electricity and gas production and distribution and 109,45 percent in water supply.

Annual changes of the main industrial groups; an increase of 123,12 percent in intermediate goods, 98,65 percent in durable consumer goods, 132,88 percent in non-durable goods, 417,61% in energy and 95,61 percent in capital goods.

The lowest annual increase; Other transportation vehicles with 67,83 percent, clothing with 80,73 percent, and basic pharmaceutical products and preparations with 82,44 percent. On the other hand, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning were the sub-sectors with the highest increase, with 554,56 percent, crude oil and natural gas by 252,78 percent, and other non-metallic mineral products with 214,12 percent.

The lowest monthly increase; Metal ores with 0,25 percent, basic metals with 0,35 percent, chemicals and chemical products with 1,08 percent. On the other hand, electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning were the sub-sectors where the indexes increased the most with 32,55 percent, crude oil and natural gas with 8,03 percent.
