Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) City Theaters presents the play Funny Money, written by Ray Cooney, translated by Haldun Dormen, and directed by Özgür Atkın. Funny Money, the new play of the 2022-2023 season, will premiere on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 20.30 on the Fatih Reşat Nuri Stage.
On his birthday, Henry accidentally picks up someone else's bag on the subway instead of his own on the way back from work. There is exactly 1 million 735 thousand pounds of money in that bag. His wife, Jean, who is waiting for him at home, is preparing a birthday surprise for Henry. Family friends Betty and Vic are also invited to this birthday celebration. Henry comes home with a bag full of money. Plane tickets are bought immediately, but a detective comes to the house and things get complicated, and the breathless adventure begins.
