Hasan Pezük, General Manager of the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD), attended the 3rd Training Seminar for Persons with Disabilities organized by the Turkish Confederation of the Disabled in Marmaris with a video conference. Stating that the railways, which work devotedly to make people's lives easier, attach special importance to solving the problems of our disabled citizens, Hasan Pezük said, "We will overcome the obstacles together." said. TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük gave information about the projects made for disabled citizens on the railways. Hasan Pezük, who attended the 3rd Disabled Persons Training Seminar organized by the Turkish Confederation of the Disabled in Marmaris via video conference, said that TCDD is one of the most strategic institutions in Turkey. TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük, who defined the railways as a 166-year-old great plane tree, reminded that they always work with a human focus. “We railroaders have always managed to deal with our disabled citizens and their problems in detail.” Hasan Pezük continued his speech as follows: “We, who come from the tradition of making people live so that the state can live, especially want to emphasize that we strive to solve the problems of our disabled citizens in all phases of life and in all of our projects. Adil Karaismailoğlu, our Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, has very special efforts, sensitivities and support in removing the barriers of our disabled brothers and sisters in all project implementations. Comprehensive studies are carried out by our Ministry on disabled access and their problems. We design our new stations and stations and other facilities taking into account the needs of our disabled people, and we carry out the necessary modernization works for our existing stations and stations together with our disabled employees. In order to facilitate their accessibility, we arranged elevator, escalator, parking lot, ramp, platform, palpable surface applications, taking into account the historical texture of our buildings.”
TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük, who stated that they started the Orange Table application, which is carried out together with TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ and allows disabled passengers to receive assistance before and after travel, in the first place at the stations where YHTs stop, said, “I can easily say on behalf of all the railwaymen who say I am here. We overcome obstacles together. When the necessary opportunities are provided to our disabled people, they achieve admirable achievements in sports, art, literature, politics, education and business world, and they make us proud with their perseverance and determination. We have approximately 350 disabled colleagues employed in our institution. They add significant value to the railways with their knowledge and experience, their minds and their hard work. With respect, love and tolerance, we overcome all obstacles between us and work together to increase our corporate efficiency.” said.
President of Turkish Confederation of Disabled People, Yusuf Çelebi, stated that TCDD is always with them and thanked TCDD General Manager Hasan Pezük for his work and support.
