By using the geographical advantages we have, we raise Turkey to the position of dominion of world trade routes. Our work in question will be one of the most important milestones of the 'Turkish Century' by placing our country among the world's leading economies. Explaining that during the 20-year AK Party governments, they approached Turkey as a whole without separating east and west, Karaismailoğlu stated that they covered Turkey with their integrated transportation and infrastructure systems. in 20 years; Pointing out that they have invested 1 trillion 631 billion 580 million liras in Turkey's transportation and communication sector, Minister of Transport Karaismailoğlu said, “We took the divided road length from 6 thousand 100 kilometers in our country, increased it 5 times to 28 thousand 770 kilometers. The tunnel length on our highways was only 50 kilometers. We've increased that 13 times. Now we have increased it to 663 kilometers. We are taking the bridge and viaduct length from 311 kilometers and increasing it to 732 kilometers.
WE SPENDED CLOSE TO 12.5 BILLION LIRA ON TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUNICATIONS INVESTMENTS IN BITLIS
Emphasizing that Bitlis received its deserved share from the important investments made throughout the country during the AK Party governments, Karaismailoğlu said, “We have spent approximately 12 billion 520 million liras for Bitlis' transportation and communication investments so far. During our governments; We increased the length of the divided highway in the province of Bitlis from 19 kilometers to 302 kilometers and increased it 15 times. During the period of our governments, we increased the transportation budget allocated to Bitlis approximately 40 times. In the last 20 years; In Bitlis, we have completed the construction and improvement of a single road of 359 kilometers. We built 2 tunnels with a total length of 3 thousand 5 kilometers, 850 single tube and 5 double tube. Restorations of the historical Gazi Bey, Ulucami, Çağlayan, Paşa Hamam, Şerefiye 1 and 2, Pamukcular, Hatuniye and Alemdar bridges continue. We will finish these restorations by the end of this year. The total project cost of 10 different highways under construction in Bitlis is 5 billion 720 million liras.
OUR BRIDGE IS 100 PERCENT DOMESTIC AND NATIONAL
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Karaismailoğlu said, “Bitlis Stream Viaduct, which forms the North-South axis in our region; Habur, together with the Esendere, Gürbulak, Kapıköy border gates, is at a crossroad that provides access to the eastern provinces to the southern provinces. On the Bitlis-Baykan Road route, which is the historical silk road; Bitlis Stream Viaduct; Thanks to the construction of 900 meters and 2 thousand 100 meters of connection roads, we will have the opportunity to travel uninterruptedly, safely and comfortably. Our project will also make serious contributions to the socio-economic development of the region along with agriculture and animal husbandry.”

Reminding that the Küçüksu-Hizan-Pervari Road, which also includes the Begendik (Botan) Bridge, Turkey's highest bridge, was put into service in 2020, Karaismailoğlu said that; He noted that many very important transportation projects have been implemented for Turkey, especially in the provinces of Bitlis, Siirt and Van. Announcing that 1 million 587 thousand vehicles have passed through the Botan Bridge since the day it was put into service, Karaismailoğlu said, “Just like the Botan Bridge and the connection roads, thanks to the divided roads we have built in Bitlis, we now meet our homes and loved ones comfortably, safely and quickly.
