The finalist films of the Izmir Short Film Festival, which has been continuing for 23 years and is the longest-running cinema organization in Izmir, have been announced. The festival, in which 5 short films in 37 categories are worthy of competition, is Turkey's only festival with the Oscar Qualification certificate. İzmir Short Film Festival, which allows one animation and one fictional short film to apply for the Academy Awards every year, aims to inform film producers about sustainable film production with green filmmaking trainings this year. İzmir Short Film Festival is getting ready to meet with the cinema lovers of İzmir for the 23rd time this year. Organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, General Directorate of Cinema, İzmir Metropolitan Municipality, Buca Municipality, Migros, Mavibahçe Shopping Center, the French Cultural Center and the German Cultural Center, İzmir Short Film Festival will screen hundreds of movies free of charge between 14-20 November. will meet. At the festival, where 118 thousand 4 films from 39 countries applied, the films that will compete for the Golden Cat Awards in national and international animation, documentary, experimental and fiction categories have been announced.

This year, the screenings will be held at the French Cultural Center, Karaca Cinema, Tarık Akan Youth Center and the festival's online platform.
