Taking over the presidency of İzmir Chamber of Dentists (İZDO), Deniz Çağında said that they follow the sector's problems closely and that they continue to work for a solution as a board of directors.

Indicating that they are working to protect the personal rights of their colleagues in the public and private sector and to create a union of forces by bringing them together under the roof of the chamber, Çağında expressed that they focus on projects to improve the working conditions of dentists.

İZDO President Deniz Çağında said, “Unfair competition as an industry, the presence of secret non-professional partnerships in the openings of some practices and polyclinics, the lack of clarity in advertising conditions, personnel rights, the low pensions of dentists retiring from the private sector, the rapidly increasing number of dentistry faculties and, in parallel, education. We are all experiencing a number of problems such as the decrease in quality. We also stand behind all the initiatives carried out by the Turkish Dentists Association, our umbrella organization in this regard. We are ready for any kind of cooperation to solve the problems," he said.

WE FOLLOW THE PROBLEMS

Stating that there are 2 thousand 339 members registered in Izmir Chamber of Dentists and this number is increasing rapidly, İZDO President Deniz Çağında continued his words as follows: we do. We believe in the importance of collaboration. We care that physicians in the public sector become members of our chamber so that we can follow the solution of professional problems in a healthier way. We are working to solve their problems as well.”

WE ATTENTION TO EDUCATION

Noting that as İZDO, they will also carry out some training activities in order to update some of their knowledge that has been disrupted due to the pandemic process, Deniz Çağında said, “The education system that was disrupted due to the pandemic left our colleagues studying at the faculties of Dentistry and newly graduated in a difficult situation. For this, we will provide trainings within the chamber at certain periods with the support of academicians. Our aim is to raise the bar for professional quality by keeping the information up-to-date. We want to reinforce the sense of belonging to the new graduates by incorporating them into the chamber," he said.

INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS WILL MEET

President of Izmir Chamber of Dentists in the Sea Age, “As Izmir Chamber of Dentists, we will bring together industry representatives and academicians at the 29th International Scientific Congress and Exhibition to be held this year. The congress, which will take place at Tepekule Convention and Exhibition Center between 04 – 06 November 2022, is an important platform that brings dentists together to share and discuss the latest professional and scientific developments. I think that the congress will make important contributions to the dentistry of the country. We expect a large participation this year," he said.
