Xi stated that by taking advantage of the geographical advantage of the Xinjiang region in recent years, it has accelerated its work to become the core region of the Silk Road Economic Belt, helping to strengthen the comprehensive link between China and Eurasian countries.

The 7th China-Eurasia Fair has received intense support from the international community. The main guest country of the fair is Kazakhstan President Kasım Cömert Tokayev, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, leaders of countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, as well as officials of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Shanghai Cooperation Organization via video at the opening ceremony. gave a speech.

First, Xinjiang is located in the heart of the Eurasian continent and is one of the important crossroads of the historical silk road. Xinjiang has now been integrated into the overall pattern of China's westward opening, fulfilling its regional expansion strategy. In the past 10 years, Xinjiang region signed 25 cooperation agreements with 21 countries and international organizations, and established trade relations with 176 countries and regions. Xinjiang has invested in more than 60 countries, and 4 overseas economic cooperation zones have been established. The total volume of Xinjiang's cross-border trade with Renminbi reached 329 billion 300 million yuan.

Second, continuous progress has been made in Xinjiang's extensive infrastructure connectivity with the outside world. The highway connecting Xinjiang to European countries was put into service. The number of bilateral international transport highways serving in Xinjiang has reached 118. Xinjiang ranks first in China in terms of both the number of roads and the total length of international shipping highways. The number of cross-border international optical cables in Xinjiang has increased to 26. A versatile comprehensive connection network consisting of highway, railway, civil aviation, power line and communication was basically established.

Third, the construction of Xinjiang's cooperation and outreach platforms has been accelerated. The construction of the China-Europe cargo train hub at Urumqi International Land Port is under development. Kasgar and Korgas economic development regions achieved double-digit growth in terms of major economic indices such as fixed capital investment, export-import volume. The development of the border gate economy in Xinjiang also continues steadily.

On the other hand, thanks to the effective measures taken in the fight against terrorism and religious extremism, there have been no terrorist attacks or acts of violence in Xinjiang for 5 years. While social cohesion and stability is ensured in Xinjiang, the economy is developing rapidly and citizens from different ethnic groups live together in harmony. All this gave great assurance to the organization of the Sino-Eurasian Fair.
