Ankara Metropolitan Municipality is preparing to bring together the “Hacıkadin City Forest”, which is established on an area of 148 hectares, with the citizens of the Capital. After the forest works; It will host picnic and camping areas, mini zoo, wedding halls, restaurants and event areas where adventure-filled activities can be done.
Continuing its activities with the slogan of “The Green Capital”, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality continues to bring new parks and recreation areas to the Capital.
The “Hacıkadin City Forest”, which has an area of 1 million 480 thousand square meters in Keçiören and leased by ABB for 25 years; It is planned to host events in many areas from daily activities to a mini zoo, from wedding halls to tent and caravan camps.
BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS ARE THOUGHT
ABB, which will bring together the people of the capital with a forest in the center of the city, aims to turn the "Hacıkadin City Forest" into an activity center after the works to be done.
The area will direct the people of Ankara to different areas with 3 different entrance doors. It will be possible to reach daily activities from the North Ankara entrance, to the activities provided by car from the Bağlum entrance and to the wedding halls from the Pursaklar entrance.
There will be 3 wedding halls at different points of the project area and with different concepts. With the mountain concept, a restaurant will be put into service, which will offer its visitors a feast with a view of the forest.
The capacity of the picnic area, which currently has 81 seating areas, will increase to 250 after the works. A forest picnic area will be created with urban equipment such as barbecue, fountain and picnic table. Creative playgrounds designed with natural materials, intertwined with the forest, will be provided for children. While children participate in activities in the playground, parents can participate in activities for adults.
The two-storey building located in the city forest will be revised and the building will become both a nature school and a social education center. There will also be a mini zoo with animals that make up the five whites of Ankara.
FULL EVENT AREAS
Adventure track and zipline will be manufactured using the natural structure of the forest. A climbing wall, which will be designed with different difficulties, will also take its place in the area. Moreover; a manege area where visitors can ride horses and get riding training, and a glass terrace and a slope swing are planned at the same location. A paintball field will be built with a track and recycled materials for the RC (Remote Controlled) car races, which are very interesting today.
While offroad and motocross tracks will be built on natural paths and open areas, trekking tracks and orienteering areas will be created by using natural paths. With bicycle and ATV tracks, visitors will be able to get away from the city and have a pleasant time in nature.
A partly quieter and scenic area in the forest will be reserved as a tent and caravan camping area. In addition, observation towers to be placed at different points will provide forest views and wildlife observation.
