Container transaction volume at ports in China continued to grow steadily in the first eight months of the year, according to data from the Ministry of Transport. In the statement made by the ministry, it was stated that the amount of containers traded at Chinese ports in the January-August 2022 period increased by 4,1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 194,4 million TEU.

In this period, the growth data continued to expand in the first seven months of the year, as the volume of containers traded at Chinese ports increased by 4,2 percent compared to the same period last year. The figures showed that in the first eight months of the year, the volume of cargo transactions at the country's ports approached 0,1 billion tons, down 10,25 percent compared to the same period last year.
