As part of the Capital Cultural Road Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, CSO Ada Ankara hosted the 'Turkey-Japan Friendship Concert' on Tuesday, October 4th. The Presidential Symphony Orchestra, led by world-famous Japanese conductors Seiji Mukaiyama and Etsuya Kitani, who came to Turkey for the Capital Culture Road Festival, performed the 'Tsunami' symphony for the first time in Turkey.
The 'Turkey-Japan Friendship Concert', realized with TUJIAD (Association for Economic and Cultural Cooperation with Japanese Businessmen) as part of the Capital Cultural Road Festival, is the most important cultural event after the pandemic between the two countries, which is heading towards the 100th year in diplomatic relations. .
Japanese conductors Mukaiyama and Kitani explained the earthquake and tsunami with notes to the audience with the 'Tsunami Symphony', which was performed for the first time in Turkey, at the concert held as part of the Capital Cultural Road Festival. Conductors Seiji Mukaiyama-Etsuya Kitani, soloists Nazlı Alptekin (Soprano), Hasan Alptekin (Bass), narrator Halit Mızraklı and choir conductor Elnara Kerimova also took part in the Turkey-Japan Friendship Concert with TRT Ankara Radio Polyphonic Choir.
On the other hand, CSO Ada Ankara History Hall hosted the concert named '71' last night. 71, staged by Yücel Arzen and his Orchestra under the artistic direction of Cemalettin Kömürcü, tells the 1000-year-old musical story of the Turks' conquest of Anatolia and its homeland.
