Speaking at the ceremony, IMM President Ekrem İmamoğluStating that this week is a very special week with the so-called 99th Anniversary of the Republic Day, and then they will start counting down to 100, he said, “There are institutions that are the guarantee of our Republic, which is the guarantee of our state and nation, and carry it from the past to the future. Fenerbahçe Sports Club, which is 115 years old and has passed its 100th year in basketball, is also one of the noble institutions of our Republic, adding value.”

The museum opened here is actually one of these beautiful messages. Protecting your past, being able to look at your future stronger by integrating with your past, is one of the most important rules of being noble. It is very valuable for basketball to open such a museum for the first time in Turkey. As soon as I received the invitation, I was excited and I came among you today, saying that I must see it. I would like to thank FB Sports Club President and the board of directors, and all institutions and organizations who contributed to the thought and implementation of this museum.”

KOÇ: “MUSEUM WILL TRANSFER OUR SUCCESS TO FUTURE GENERATIONS”

FB Sports Club President Ali Koç thanked President İmamoğlu and other participants for not leaving them alone. Expressing that Fenerbahçe has a deep and important history of 120 years, Koç said, “We have brought this basketball museum to life in order to pass on our history, which is full of success and pride, to future generations, and to enable future generations to better understand the past. For 100 years, great athletes, who have become icons in our community and in our country, wore our uniform. Very valuable coaches have worked hard and left a mark on our history. While they are making history with trophies, they also formed our basketball culture with their stance.”

EUROLEAGUE CUP IS ALSO EXHIBITED IN THE MUSEUM

After the speeches at the ceremony, the President Ekrem İmamoğlu and Ali Koç and their entourage cut the ribbon and opened the Fenerbahçe Basketball Museum. İmamoğlu visited the museum with Koç and took photos with the athletes.

In Turkey's first basketball museum; There are all the flags, scarves, jerseys, hats, balls, etc. used in basketball matches since 1913, as well as trophies won and photographs of former basketball players. The Euroleague Cup won by FB Sports Club in 2017 has also started to be exhibited in this museum.
