The Consumer Price Index increased by 3,08 percent and the Domestic Producer Price Index increased by 4,78 percent on a monthly basis in September. Annual inflation was recorded as 83,45 percent in consumer prices and 151,50 percent in domestic producer prices.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) announced the Consumer Price Index (CPI) figures for September.

Accordingly, the Consumer Price Index in September was 3,08 percent compared to the previous month, 52,40 percent compared to December of the previous year, 83,45 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and 59,91 percent according to the twelve-month averages.

The main group that showed the least increase compared to the same month of the previous year was communication with 30,76 percent. On the other hand, the main group with the highest increase compared to the same month of the previous year was transportation with 117,66 percent.

In terms of main expenditure groups, the main group that showed the least increase compared to the previous month was alcoholic beverages and tobacco with 0,04 percent. On the other hand, the main group with the highest increase compared to the previous month was housing with 9,99 percent.

While there was a decrease in the index of 144 main titles out of 18 main titles covered in the index, there was no change in the indices of 2 main titles. There was an increase in the index of 124 main titles.

Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) increased by 151,50 percent annually and 4,78 percent monthly

In September, the Domestic Producer Price Index increased by 4,78 percent compared to the previous month, by 82,45 percent compared to December of the previous year, by 151,50 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and by 114,02 percent according to the twelve-month averages.

Manufacturing index, one of the four main sectors of the industry, increased by 127,69 percent annually.

The Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 1,46 percent on a monthly basis and the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) increased by 2,41 percent in August. Annual inflation was recorded as 80,21 percent in consumer prices and 143,75 percent in domestic producer prices.
