Wishing the Ayvacık Küçükkuyu Road and the Troy and Assos Tunnels to be beneficial for our city and our country, President Erdoğan said; He said that this road, which is 5,7 kilometers in total with its tunnels of 9,6 kilometers in length, is one of the most important parts of the north-south axis that provides transportation to Balıkesir and İzmir. Stating that he will respond to the accelerating traffic in the region with the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which was put into service last March, Erdoğan said that thanks to the tunnels opened, the distance between Ayvacık and Küçükkuyu was shortened by approximately 2,5 kilometers, and the 50-minute journey took 5 minutes. He emphasized that the savings from both time, fuel and emissions amounted to 133 million liras per year.

Even the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge that surrounds the Marmara Sea and the highway project that crosses the Bosphorus is a seal engraved in history in itself.”

Karaismailoğlu stated that this project, which was implemented in the Ayvacık-Küçükkuyu section of the highway connecting Çanakkale to İzmir and Balıkesir, will greatly strengthen the logistics highway infrastructure of the Marmara and Aegean regions, adding that thanks to the Assos and Troy Tunnels, the Kaz Mountains, which have dozens of sharp bends, are no longer a "fearful dream" of drivers. an additional benefit to the habitat of the region by planting a thousand saplings expressed their health.
