Stating that he will respond to the accelerating traffic in the region with the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, which was put into service last March, Erdoğan said that thanks to the tunnels opened, the distance between Ayvacık and Küçükkuyu was shortened by approximately 2,5 kilometers, and the 50-minute journey took 5 minutes. He emphasized that the savings from both time, fuel and emissions amounted to 133 million liras per year.
