Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Tunç Soyeropened the painting exhibition “Faces Flowing From Easel to Canvas” by painter Mustafa Peker. The exhibition at Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center can be visited until 4 December.
Painter Mustafa Peker's painting exhibition titled “Faces Flowing From Easel to Canvas” opened at Ahmed Adnan Saygun Art Center. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor attended the opening of the exhibition. Tunç Soyer and his wife Neptün Soyer, Mustafa Peker and his family, New Generation Village Institutes Association Board Member Semiha Günal, Izmir Metropolitan Municipality bureaucrats and art lovers. The exhibition “Faces Flowing From Easel to Canvas” can be visited until 4 December.
“Like taking our head out of water and breathing”
Starting her speech by saying that Mustafa Peker is a graduate of the Village Institute, Semiha Günal, Member of the Board of the New Generation Village Institutes Association, said, "Being in Mustafa Peker's exhibition in our country, where almost all of the achievements of the Republic are tried to be destroyed and where the hostility towards art is at an extreme level, we can't get our heads out of the water. It's like breathing," he said.
