Kocaeli TransportationPark Adds 30 New Buses to Its Fleet

TransportationPark A.Ş., one of the subsidiaries of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, added 30 new buses to its fleet. Growing with each passing day, TransportationPark holds the title of Turkey's youngest bus fleet. With the inclusion of 30 new buses, the average of buses in Transportationpark has dropped below 5 years old.

CITY TRANSPORTATION WILL BE MORE COMFORTABLE

Due to the commissioning of new buses, TransportationPark A.Ş. The program was held at the Beach Road Garage. Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General Balamir Gündoğdu, Deputy Secretary General Gökmen Mengüç, TransportationPark General Manager Serhan Çatal, bureaucrats and TransportationPark employees attended the program. Secretary General Gündoğdu once again underlined that the Metropolitan is determined to ease the transportation of the city.

219 NEW BUS WITH EQUITY

Speaking in the program, General Secretary Gündoğdu stated that the Metropolitan purchased 219 buses with its own resources. Gündoğdu said that 30 of the buses purchased have started service and said, "Today, the number of buses we have received has reached 30, with 150 vehicles joining our fleet."

NEW BUSES WILL ALSO COMING

Emphasizing that they will continue to purchase buses, Gündoğdu said, “150 of our 114 buses are 12 meters long and 36 are 18 meters long... We have 60 buses under production. 40 of them are 9 meters long and 20 of them are 18 meters long… These buses will also join our fleet in the coming months.”

NUMBER OF BUS REACHED 490

Stating that the TransportationPark fleet has grown, Gündoğdu said, “The number of buses in our fleet has reached 490. Some of the vehicles we receive will be evaluated on long roads and some in the city. Our buses travel an average of 100 thousand kilometers per day. We offer transportation services to our city with 104 buses on 345 different lines every day. Our buses make an average of 3.200 trips per day. We transport our 128 thousand citizens to the places they want to go and to their loved ones every day,'' he said.

100 PERCENT DOMESTIC BUS

Talking about the features of the purchased buses, Gündoğdu said, “We supported domestic and national production by purchasing these buses, which were produced 100 percent locally. Our low-floor vehicles, all of which are suitable for disabled access, will facilitate the transportation of our disabled citizens. Our vehicles, which are guaranteed for 5 years, will be serviced free of charge if they fail during this period.
